The 2nd Annual Big Island Blues Festival will have something for everyone to enjoy – from great original blues music and unique vendors, to delicious BBQ and more! This event takes place on Saturday, September 8th in beautiful Kailua Kona at the picturesque Luau Grounds of the Courtyard Marriott at King Kamehameha’s Beach Hotel.Unplug from the daily stresses of life and come enjoy yourself with some great live music, BBQ. The lineup for this year’s festival includes Ronnie V. &The Family Band, Tomi Isobe’s Blues Band and Bottle of Blue.
Ronnie V. & The Family Band is an American Roots Music group based in Kona that focuses on the tradition of storytelling history, through acoustic music. Their sound infuses Blues, Gospel, Soul, Bluegrass, Old Timey and Americana to showcase the tales of the hard times of the working class and the triumphs of finding the light at the end of the tunnel. Perpetuating positivity in the face of darkness is the moral at the core of all of their original music. Heavy & soulful while simultaneously delivering the message of perseverance, their songs inspire a feeling of hope and their timeless American sound is a direct reflection of the people, from all walks of life, coming together, to make our darkest times… better, and brighter.
