Elation Records is now accepting submissions for its Big Island Music Contest-2022. Artists from all islands may participate in the submission process, which will run until Feb. 28, 2022. Voting begins March 1 and ends on the 31st, and the Big Island Music Awards ceremony will take place on April 16.
To submit qualified projects, visit Elation Records’ website and fill out the dialog box found on the bottom right of the site. Submissions will be reviewed, and if accepted, the cover images and a link to where the music can be reviewed will be published. Ballots will be sent to all participants and anyone who registers to vote. The registration process uses the same dialog box found on the website.
Each category winner will receive an engraved award. In addition, the awards ceremony will be recorded and live-streamed with musical performances.
The BIMAs were successfully held from 2011–2016 and then retired. This year’s event will not feature a dinner/banquet and it will not cost participants anything.
This event is free for participants, and voters can live anywhere in the world. This is a “people’s choice” award.
