Gertrude’s Jazz Bar remains closed and is looking for a new buyer since an escrow deal fell apart. Their Facebook pages notes: “We are once again looking for a buyer who loves the art, music, and dance environment we have created with Gertrude’s, including a vibrant community tribe!”

Musicians and venue proprietors lead complicated lives: it’s advisable to check in advance to confirm engagements. Please use our contact page to submit an event.

Several Big Island venues have reopened. They are operating with new State and CDC recommended social distancing, sanitization, and prevention protocols for restaurants.
Want to share your upcoming music event with our Big Island Music Magazine readers? Go to our contact page and include the event title, location, start/end date/time, and a short description. Please submit content at least two (2) weeks in advance of the event. While Big Island Music Magazine makes every effort to accommodate all submissions, publication is not guaranteed, and submissions are subject to editing for space and content.
