Honokaʻa-based artist, Hannah Kaplon, has released her new single, “You”, and it will soon be available on all streaming platforms. “You” was recorded at Kukuau Studio in Hilo and produced by Bub Pratt. Lyrics and music were written by Kaplon.
The music video for “You” was shot in the recording studio and around Hilo. It was filmed and produced by Mark Kaplon. The cover art for the single is an image from the studio recording session as well.
BIO
Hannah Kaplon was born in Estacada, Oregon, and moved to Hawaii when she was 6 years old. She grew up writing poetry and songs, beginning to perform at open mic nights and cafes in her early teens. She loves jazz music and her main artistic influences include Norah Jones, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Bob Dylan. She has been featured in the Big Island music documentary Livinʻ On A Rock, on Pamela Hugginsʻ Plush Lounge show on KNKR-FM, and has participated in many local events and contests.
