Big Island’s Jesse Snyder Releases Second Single From “MUSE”

New “Nightbird “single is another taste from Snyder’s solo album MUSE

Jesse Snyder, saxophone and primary horn arranger for 2018 Na Hoku Hanohano Award ‘Best Jazz Album’ group Kahulanui has released a second single from his solo vocal album MUSE (projected release in February 2020).

“Nightbird,” Mackey Feary Jr’s love song is presented in a classic bossa nova style and showcases Jesse’s smooth baritone voice with hopeful flute flutters, sultry saxophone tones and featuring Matt Spencer’s guitar chords that pluck at any heart capturing the sensual and sophisticated sound that is Jesse’s vision for the MUSE album.

MUSE is set to be released in early 2020 and may come as a surprise to those who know Jesse as a whimsical and vivacious sax player in Kahulanui performances.  On this album, he pays tribute to the most inspirational and supportive people that have had a significant impact on him throughout his life.  It has been a labor of love producing this album dedicated and inspired by the muses that have shaped and colored his life.

Jesse has been in the studio at Mana Music Studio for the better part of this year recording while playing his four regular gigs on the big island of Hawaii, touring with Kahulanui and the Castaways on the mainland and performing with other musical artists like Grammy-award recipient, Gary Washburn.
