Returning to the Big Island for the first time in since 2018, Dirty Cello will light up the Kahilu Theatre stage on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020 at 7 p.m. Ticket info below.

“Dirty Cello’s music is all over the map: funky, carnival, romantic, sexy, tangled, electric, fiercely rhythmic, and textured, and only occasionally classical.”(Oakland Magazine). From China to Italy, and all over the U.S., Dirty Cello brings the world a high energy and unique spin on blues and bluegrass. Led by vivacious cross-over cellist, Rebecca Roudman, Dirty Cello is cello like you’ve never heard before. From down-home blues with a wailing cello to virtuosic stompin’ bluegrass, Dirty Cello is a band that gets your heart thumping and your toes tapping!

With frequent performances all over the world, Dirty Cello can’t wait to return to the Kahilu, one of their favorite places, to play and visit.  This is “A four-piece string ensemble that truly pushes the envelope and breaks the barriers, they blend blues, bluegrass and world music sounds with roots in the world of European classical music in a style that is unique and refreshing.”  (Cloverdale Reveille).

If you go… Have a good show!
