Family-Friendly Live Show at The Palace Theater
The historic Palace Theater is proud to present Bridge At The Palace, a lively stage show on Saturday, June 25 at 7 p.m. Starring Bridge Hartman and ten friends with dancers and a live band promises to be a family-friendly evening of songs and dancing by many local favorite Hilo talents.
This concert is a benefit for the Palace Theater and a Celebration of Pride during Pride Month. In conjunction with H.E.A.R.T., the Palace Theater presents this entertaining show.
Many of the theater’s faithful musical attendees will recognize Bridge as Willy Wonka in the 2018 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory show. Bridge will be joined by other familiar shining stars: Asha Azama, Meili Aspen Caputo, Sam Deitch, Kyra Gomes, Charles Bankhead Haines, Jennie Kaneshiro, Payton Lamar, Zayne Paresa, Erin Smith, and Josh Timmons.
True to the mission of H.E.A.R.T. (Hilo Education Arts Repertory Theatre), the show is bringing local youth into the roles of director, choreographer, and musical director, and showcasing the on-stage talents of our young population. Directed by Bridge Hartman and Larry Reitzer, choreographed by Zayne Paresa and Aleah Kay, and Musical Direction by Josh Timmons, the show promises to be a crowd-pleasing evening of entertainment.
“When Bridge auditioned for The Producers, all I kept thinking was, “This guy is so talented – he really needs his own show!” said H.E.A.R.T. director Larry Reitzer. “We started working on ideas for a one-person show… and it became this. A huge production with ten additional vocalists, twenty dancers, and a live band. It’s way bigger than we ever expected, but it truly is an incredible showcase for Bridge‘s talent and these brilliant singers, dancers, and musicians of Hilo.”
