Crossing Rain, XR to their fans, won the prestigious Favorite Entertainer of the Year award at the 45th Annual Na Hoku Hanohano Awards. This award is the only one that was voted on by the general public. XR is humbled by the nod of approval from its peers, supporters, and fans. With their debut album, DREAMS, they were also nominated in the categories of Most Promising Artists
of the Year, R&B Album of the Year, and Liner Notes of the Year. We congratulate all the nominees and winners at this year’s celebration.

“The six-member group has a growing international fan base and has everything checked off on the boy band list: snazzy music videos, on-point hair, and makeup (who knew perms are making a comeback?), runway-worthy outfits, and killer choreography.”
Maria Kanai, Honolulu Magazine, Feb 2022

Six humble youth from Hawaii chasing their dreams and capturing fans around the world:
• Evan Harutoshi Doria, aka “Haru,” is a talented dancer, vocalist, and choreographer,
bringing experience from Studio 808 Dance Project.
• Wyatt Keola Dean Kaneshiro, aka “Monarch,” is the group’s natural leader and
brings his experience with hip-hop and rap to the mix.
• Jorden Kealoha-Yamanaka, aka “J”, is the group’s lead vocalist and has a
background in Hawaiian Falsetto from his award-winning musician dad, Mark
Yamanaka.
• Asher Morgado is a dancer and brings his choreography skills to the group as he has
trained well at 24-7 Danceforce.
• Shotaro Takasawa is a native of Japan and contributes his own style of music and
dance some of which he has gained from his father, who was a member of the
Japanese group TOKIO.
• Devin Teruya was a finalist for an international audition for a K-Pop mega group. He
brings his experience in vocals and dance where he trained at Studio 808 Dance
Project.
