Kalaʻe has been a professional musician and entertainer in Hawaiʻi and abroad since 2013. In 2016, Kalaʻe began his solo journey recording his first album while he was also performing frequently in Honolulu. His new EP titled “Where I Reside” just hit the airwaves in December 2020. This eclectic, 6-track EP features all original songs written by Kalaʻe, with a fresh twist of music from pop-country infused with lyrics about his island home, to smooth Latin rock, and love ballads. Kalaʻe has recently been featured as a songwriter on Kuhaʻo Maunakea, an 18-track compilation album with some of Hawaiʻi’s top performers. Kalaʻe was recognized at the 2020 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards for his composition “We Are A Voice,” which is featured on that album. Kalaʻe continues to perform regularly and is active in the studio recording new original music to be released soon.
