Native Hawaiian and Grammy-nominated Henry Kapono is a multiple award-winning vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and composer. He is one of Hawai‘i’s most popular recording artists and presides over Kapono Inc., one of Hawaii’s top multi-function entertainment companies. Kapono is equally known for his community support and philanthropic endeavors, recently launching the “The Henry Kapono Foundation” in 2018, whose mission is to “support the music and arts community and by giving with Aloha.”
Kapono has taken home 20 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards, including Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Rock Album of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Best EP, Compilation of the Year, and is the recipient of the 2021 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards for Contemporary Album of the Year and Favorite Entertainer of the Year, for his latest album, Henry’s House. Kapono is also known for his legendary “Dukes on Sunday” afternoon Beach concerts on Waikiki beach. Over two decades strong, Dukes on Sunday is also streamed live to tens of thousands of people worldwide each Sunday on the Henry Kapono Facebook Page.
