The producers of the Hilo-based video performance series Live From the Empty Palace closed out 2020 with the release of a Live From the Empty Palace 2020 compilation album. The album, now available on all major streaming platforms, features 12 tracks recorded live at the theater throughout 2020.

The album was produced by Drew Daniels, Pepe Romero, Phillips Payson, and Zoe Eisenberg–the production team behind the Live From the Empty Palace video performance series, which kicked off in April 2020 in response to the Hilo Palace Theater closure due to the pandemic. Since then, the team of four has released over thirty-five filmed sessions showcasing a wide range of Hawai’i-island talent, from musicians to aerial acrobats and hula halaus.

“Our team really appreciates the arts community coming together during these uncertain times to perpetuate the reputation of this legendary venue and showcase the artists who are the heart of this island scene,” says series and album producer Drew Daniels. “We hope this Compilation Album continues to shine light on all of us involved.”

The album can be accessed here, as well as on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Pandoraand Amazon Music.

Video sessions can be viewed at HiloPalace.com and through the Palace’s Youtube Channel and Facebook page.
