Jesse Snyder, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, is proud to announce the release of his solo album MUSE. The album is available for download on his website jessejsnyder.com along with three singles released earlier this year.
The MUSE album pays tribute to the most inspirational and supportive people that have had a significant impact on him. It has been a labor of love producing this album dedicated and inspired by the muses that have shaped and colored his life.
Jesse’s vision is to evoke an unparalleled musical experience through intimacy and love and this vision is shared by Executive Producer Richard Russell, Producers (along with him) Michael Surprenant and Andree Fallas.
MUSE has Jesse singing and playing tenor and baritone saxophones, clarinet, flute, drums, and percussion. The album includes internationally acclaimed Kimo Cornwell of Hiroshima band; Hoku-award winning, Maggie Herron; the guitar stylings of Curt Warren; bass and guitar virtuoso Matt Spencer; nostalgic steel guitar by Dwight Tokumoto, piano by Loren Wilken, upright bass by Brian McCree, and drums by Michael Surprenant.

Jesse released three singles earlier in the year that are available for download on his website: “Do Nothin’ Til You Hear from Me,” a classic Duke Ellington tune, showcases Jesse’s smooth baritone voice with earthy saxophone tones. Short promo video.
“Nightbird,” Mackey Feary Jr’s love song is presented in a classic bossa nova style and showcases Jesse’s vocals with hopeful flute flutters, sultry saxophone tones and features Matt Spencer’s guitar chords that pluck at any heart, capturing a sensual and sophisticated sound. Short promo video.
Jesse sings Andy Cumming’s classic tune “Waikiki” with heartfelt, subtle phrasing and innovative stylings. He savors memories of fun performances, great restaurants, and the camaraderie experienced in Waikiki with other musicians and good friends.
Jesse Snyder is a multi-instrumentalist, arranger, composer, and vocalist and is one of the most sought after musicians in Hawai’i for both live performances and recording sessions. Jesse plays tenor and baritone saxophones, clarinet, flute, drums, percussion and sings for a range of musical genres including jazz, neo-soul, R&B, reggae, hip hop, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and contemporary jazz, lending fresh energy to every performance. His classic cool style can be light-hearted with whimsical riffs, deep down soulfully funky or creatively upbeat with hi-hat or his signature high kick, he is always involved and enthusiastic.
He plays traditional Hawaiian nose flute and ipu (gourd) when performing with award-winning Kahulanui.
