On Saturday, April 21, 2018 the 13th Annual Laupahoehoe Music Festival will take place at Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park. Music, crafters, game booths and food / drinks will be present. The Laupahoehoe Music Festival is a Hawaiian Music and Cultural Event in Laupahoehoe presented by Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School. Proceeds go to supporting music programs at LCPCS. Alcohol & drug free event. No coolers.
Komakakino will keep the event true to its founder’s dreams, sharing Hawaiian & Hula, while our other performers come from all genres, including country folk with Dagan, classic rock from Monster Zero and Ira Varize’s slack key style.
Laupahoehoe Music Festival for 2018 features the following music and hula performers:
Ho’aikane
Laupahoehoe Ukulele Band – led by Todd Otake
Komakakino – Hawaiian and Hula
Monster Zero – Classic Rock
Dagan – Country Folk
Ira Varize – Slack Key
This year LMF includes an exciting silent auction put on by non-profit Hui Kakoo O Laupahoehoe (preview items at www.thehui.net ), an assortment of vendors and an array of delicious food. There is fun for the whole family with lei making, poi pounding, a bouncy castle and games for the keikis!
All proceeds from ticket sales support the music programs at Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School. Proceeds from silent auction support art and dance programs.
