In-studio Performing Arts Classes at Kahilu Theatre in Kamuela
For the first time, Prince Dance Institute (PDI) will have a summer semester of performing arts classes at Kahilu Theatre in Waimea (Kamuela). The summer semester begins Monday, June 7, and runs weekly through Thursday, July 1, 2021. Students will have more than 20 in-studio classes in dance, musical theater, aerial arts, and acrobatics to choose from, with classes available for all ages and skill levels.
“This is our first ever summer semester of classes and we couldn’t be more excited to keep the momentum going,” stated Angel Prince, PDI Artistic Director. “This is an opportunity for our students—new and old—to stay active, flexible, and strong.”
Prince added, “It is also an opportunity for existing PDI students to try out new classes like lyrical dance or tap dance, or for students new to PDI to check out what we offer at Prince Dance Institute.”
Health and safety are paramount at PDI, and the school has safety protocols in place; based on local and federal guidelines. Class sizes are limited and socially distanced. Everyone is required to wear a mask. There are rigorous cleaning and sanitation regimens that take place daily.
Prince Dance Institute instructors for its Summer Classes are Elizabeth Brawner, Erin Kawakami, Julie Young, Kalena Zindric, Kat Reuss, Malia Okimura, and Sabrina Coe.
The Summer Classes at Kahilu Theatre are conducted on the main stage and in the Mike Luce Studio and are held Monday through Thursday, between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The entry is through the loading dock door in the back of the theater.
