Songs & Stories Podcast (Bonus Episode): Broadway’s Bronson Norris Murphy

Show Notes: On Saturday, October 17, 2020, the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival will welcome Broadway icon, Bronson Norris Murphy, to the virtual stage. This concert is the first of the festival’s 2020 High Season Series which benefits the HPAF Student Scholarship Fund. All proceeds from this event will specifically benefit BIPOC Artists. Best known to American audiences for premiering the role of The Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies: The Phantom Returns, Bronson Norris Murphy is a versatile singing actor who has been seen on stages from Broadway to Japan and nearly every state in the nation. Praised for his “prodigious acting abilities” and for having a voice that has been acclaimed as “masterful, passionate and soaringly beautiful,” Bronson makes his home on both the musical theatre and symphonic concert stages.

The concert features 23 songs featuring the works of 17 different composers. Six different pianists accompany Bronson as well as a very special guest (also from the Great White Way). HPAF also recently announced the performance will be made available for 72 hours following its initial broadcast. Cost: $20, $30, or $40. Please pay what you can to support HPAF. All ticket sales will support its 2021 Student Scholarship Fund. Registration ends 24 hours prior to the start of this event. Further instructions will be shared via email following registration.
