Songs & Stories Podcast – S4, E4
Show Notes: Charles Michael Brotman is a Grammy award-winning artist whose music is heard worldwide via film, TV, advertising, and streaming. He feels that music creation is a way of life. It means constantly learning, exploring, and engaging with others. Some say that it may be the ultimate Rubik’s cube; it is an endless pursuit that requires an insatiable curiosity and love of the art. A graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with an M.A. in music, Brotman taught classical guitar there for nine years. He is a co-founder of the recording label Palm Records and also the president of the Hawaii Songwriting Festival that takes place each year on the Kohala Coast. His first two solo albums received critical acclaim, and he is known as a staple of the Hawaiian music scene.
Brotman (with special guests Charlie Recaido and Karl Kasberg) will perform a Kahilu Theatre livestreaming concert on Kahilu.TV on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 4 p.m., with a talk-story segment following the performance.
