She began her solo recording career with the release of Pihana in 2007. This debut album earned six nominations at the Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards, including Best Female Vocalist. In 2010, Greig released her sophomore album, “Mohalu,” which received three Nā Hōkū awards. Her self-revealing and most recent release is Makawalu.

Amy Hanaiali’i

Always a beloved entertainer and sell-out performer at Kahilu Theatre over the years, singer-songwriter Amy Hanaiali’i remains Hawaii’s top-selling female vocalist of all time. Her success as a recording artist is evidenced by a multitude of Grammy and Nā Hōkū nominations, awards and recognitions. Her album, Generation Hawai’i won four Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards in 2007: Album of the Year, Hawaiian Album of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and Best Engineered Album. She remains a dedicated promoter of Hawaiian culture deeply rooted in a commitment that stems from her celebrated family’s heritage.

Raiatea Helm made history in 2006 as Hawaii’s first solo female vocalist ever to receive a Grammy nomination for her sophomore CD Sweet and Lovely.
